HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR CANDELA Nd: YAG LASER TREATMENTS TO WORK?
Treatment works instantly. We recommend a course of up to 3 treatments at monthly intervals as this provides for gradual improvement with a very low risk due to heat being only allowed a 5 minutes timeframe during each treatment.

WHO IS SUITABLE FOR CANDELA Nd: YAG LASER TREATMENT?
Anyone who shows signs vascular lesion, broken capillaries and rosacea is a perfect candidate for this treatment. It cannot be performed however during pregnancy or lactation, Contraindications, Roaccutane, nor can it be completed on recently sun-tanned or sun over-exposed skin. After treatment, patients will need to avoid sun exposure and use a sunscreen for at least 4 weeks.
HOW IS THIS PERFORMED?
We start by ensuring the area is thoroughly clean. We then use the laser machine to pulse light which may feel like a slight sting or pinch, similar to the snap of a rubber band which is emitted from machine’s hand piece. Most people tolerate the treatment well and don't require any local anaesthetic. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes. Clients can expect immediate long-term results which is usually achieved with the convenience of no down time.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

Some medications may include “photosensitivity” as a side effect so be sure to inform your specialist if you are taking any medication.

No sun exposure three days before or after treatment.

No topical fake tan for five days prior to treatment.

If you have used or are taking antibiotics, you must finish your course of treatment five days prior to your appointment.

Do not use any retinol product 48 hours prior to treatment.

Can not be treated if you are pregnant or lactating

Can not be performed if you have contraindications or Roaccutane

Treatments are spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart depending on the area of the body/face treated.
